XMission has used equipment available for free to XMission customers!
Some companies are driving up the price of hardware, but we’re giving it away for free!
What: Items include Supermicro chassis, X8 and X9 Supermicro generation servers (some with full DDR3 ECC RAM, PSU, CPU, etc.), power and networking cables, server rails, Polycom phones, and other miscenllaneous items.
When: Friday, April 17, 2026, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or until the gear is all taken).
Who: XMission customers only, please.
Where: XMission offices at 51 E. 400 S. in downtown Salt Lake City.
Please bring your own muscles, moving equipment, and transportation. First come, first served. No appointment required.
Parking: Parking is available on Cactus Street in Exchange Place and in surrounding pay lots. XMission will not validate parking.
Why: In an effort to reduce e-waste, XMission hopes to give this equipment a second home. XMission will responsibly recycle all remaining items.
New in 2026! Gear Xchange: Bring in your gently-used equipment and swap with your fellow tech enthusiasts! Participants must delete all sensitive data from equipment before trading. Please do not bring equipment older than five years-old for trade. XMission will recycle any untraded gear left at the end of the event.
