Customers expect your business to have a professional-looking website that, at the least, describes your company, hours of operation, and contact information. Your website is often the customer’s first point of contact with your company, so it is crucial that you invest your time and money preparing it.

Over the past 10 years, developing a website was an arduous task: design and development took hours and specialized skills were expensive to learn and expensive to contract for. Tools that promised to make the task easier often took hours to learn, and resulted in a generic and hard-to-maintain site.

At XMission, it became clear that our customers needed more. After researching a number of available tools, we selected the Parallels Web Presence Builder because it provides ease-of-use, flexibility, and options for design. This tool is included in our Unlimited Shared Hosting and Cloud Server services, at no additional charge.

Here are a couple of steps and screenshots that illustrate how easy it is to get started using the Web Presence Builder.

Step 1: Login and Start the Web Presence Builder
Login to your Shared Web Hosting or Cloud Server account and click the “Launch Web Presence Builder” link.

Step 2: Select the Topic of your Website
Use the search option, or browse for the type of business that you have. Some options give you a starting layout that is more customized for your particular business.

Step 3: Prefill Your Website
Populate the starting template with some basic information, allowing you to get a more customized site.

Step 4: Watch the Welcome Video
Watch the Welcome Video to learn the ins-and-outs of using the Web Presence Builder.

Step 5: Start Customizing and Publish
Content, images, design, and pages can be changed by clicking, editing and saving using the interface. Once you have the site prepared, click the green Publish button in the upper right hand of the interface. You can come back to make edits to your site at any time by clicking on the Web Presence Builder link on the homepage of your control panel.
