Speaking of community, BSides thrives on it. According to my friend Wikipedia<\/a>, BSides started in 2009 as an alternative (‘b side’) conference for those who could not present at Blackhat Vegas<\/a> or DEF CON<\/a> due to oversubscription of Call for Papers. Now, organizers execute conferences around the world<\/a>, including a long list of US events. BSides describes itself as a “conference by the community, for the community.”<\/p>\n

This year, BSidesSLC will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center<\/a> in beautiful downtown Salt Lake City on Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11. Check out their schedule here<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Registration costs $65 and includes full access to workshops, talks, a tshirt, challenge coin, swag bag, badge, and entry in the raffle.
