It\u00a0uses a simple Zimbra\u00a0filter and only takes about\u00a0five seconds to setup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Create the filter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2975\" style=\"width: 306px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/xmission.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/XMission_Zimbra_Filter_Paging.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2975\" class=\" wp-image-2975\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/XMission_Zimbra_Filter_Paging-150x150.png\" alt=\"Filter configuration screen for paging.\" width=\"296\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/xmission.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/XMission_Zimbra_Filter_Paging-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/xmission.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/XMission_Zimbra_Filter_Paging-120x120.png 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 296px) 100vw, 296px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2975\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Configure an email filter to page you when important emails arrive. <em>Click to see larger graphic.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Within your XMission hosted\u00a0<a title=\"XMission hosted Zimbra Email &amp; Collaboration login\" href=\"https:\/\/zimbra.xmission.com\" target=\"_blank\">Zimbra webmail<\/a> go to Preferences tab then\u00a0Filters, and click on [New Filter]<\/li>\n<li>Inside the Edit Filter window you will name the filter with something easy to remember such as &#8220;Email from client&#8221; or &#8220;Boss emails&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Set conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If [<strong>any<\/strong>] of the following conditions are met:<\/li>\n<li>[<strong>From<\/strong>] [<strong>matches exactly<\/strong>] \u00a0&#8220;client@example.com&#8221; &lt;&#8211; insert your important From address here<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specify the action:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this example we will keep a copy in the Inbox as well as send a copy to the email to text message\u00a0gateway of your mobile service provider.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the &#8220;Perform the following actions:&#8221; area [<strong>Keep in Inbox<\/strong>] will be set by default. We want to leave that and then add one more rule by clicking on the green &#8220;<span style=\"color: #00ff00;\"><strong>+<\/strong><\/span>&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>Select [<strong>Redirect to Address<\/strong>] and enter your mobile provider&#8217;s email to\u00a0text message\u00a0gateway address or an email alias you have setup for texting your phone.<\/p>\n<p>Here are examples of provider email to text gateway addresses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AT&amp;T \u00a0&#8212;\u00a0yourtendigitmobilenumber@txt.att.net<\/li>\n<li>T-mobile &#8212;\u00a0yourtendigitmobilenumber@tmomail.net<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Verify the &#8220;[ x ] Do not process additional filters&#8221; box is checked.<\/p>\n<p>Now [Save] your new filter.<\/p>\n<p>From here forward you should receive texts to your phone. If you want, have the important address send you a test email to make sure it performs as expected.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Some content of the email message will likely appear in the texts.<\/li>\n<li>It will continue to text you every time email arrives from the specified address as long as the filter exists.
