Here is a question asked by one our<a title=\"XMission Zimbra Unified Email &amp; Collaboration Hosting\" href=\"http:\/\/xmission.com\/zimbra\" target=\"_blank\"> XMission hosting<\/a> customers:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><i>&#8220;We want to have separate accounts so that our craft business emails can show jane@craftydomain.com instead of jane@mybizdomain.com\u00a0<\/i><i>when a recipient saves them in their address book, etc. Would this cost us extra money?&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Using a Persona allows you\u00a0to send messages from\u00a0a different account while inside\u00a0your primary Zimbra webmail account. If you have multiple accounts or domains aliased to your primary mail account using a Persona allows you to save money by not having to purchase additional\u00a0accounts.<\/p>\n<p><em><b>* Make it<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p>To quickly setup a new Persona simply click on the <em>Preferences<\/em>\u00a0tab inside your Zimbra webmail account. (Click screenshot to see larger image in a new tab.) Here we give it a name, commonly related to the\u00a0domain or account. In this customer example it could be &#8220;Jane&#8217;s Crafty Email&#8221;. Next you establish <em>Settings for Sent Messages<\/em> and establish what the recipient will see as the &#8220;From:&#8221; and &#8220;Reply-to:&#8221; address. The first field is for the name associated with the account, such as &#8220;Jane,&#8221; and then the second field is the email address.<\/p>\n<p>Next, specify when to <em>Use this persona:<\/em>. Fire up a new email and simply use the drop down menu next to the &#8220;From:&#8221; field. Select the account (Persona) you want to send from and away you go.<\/p>\n<p>If you are responding to an email sent to the specific address the Persona will already be applied by default.<\/p>\n<p><em><b>* Extras<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p>You can easily manage signatures for a Persona or Account inside your <a title=\"XMission Zimbra\" href=\"http:\/\/zimbra.xmission.com\">XMission Zimbra Webmail<\/a> interface.<\/p>\n<p>Domain aliasing is free with XMission and your <a title=\"Zimbra\" href=\"http:\/\/xmission.com\/email_collaboration\" target=\"_blank\">Zimbra<\/a> hosting. It is easy to add domains and Zimbra service through the <a title=\"XMission store\" href=\"https:\/\/store.xmission.com\/http\/hit.php?53\" target=\"_blank\">XMission store<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For those not using the webmail interface, many common email applications such as Outlook, Thunderbird, and Mac Mail also have support for Persona use although they commonly utilize different names such as personalities, accounts, profiles, and etc. Reference the Help menu inside those email applications to learn more about this feature.<\/p>\n<p>Try this out and see how you like it.
