XMission has always supported the protection and conservation of our environment. For that reason, we have recently partnered with other local businesses and the Salt Lake City government to reduce our impact on the local environment even further.

Powered by 100% renewable energy

Through Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky program, XMission purchases more than 2800 blocks of renewable energy per month. This puts XMission at the top of the top-level “Visionary” category. By purchasing renewable power, we offset 3,391 tons of CO2 emission or the effect of driving 7.26 million miles each month - this equates to planting 1,332 acres of trees!

Home Electronics Recycling

In May, 2007, XMission partnered with Salt Lake City, GRX, and Computers for Kids to collect home electronics for recycling. In just four hours, our fellow citizens recycled 44,569 pounds of electronics, keeping contaminants such as lead, mercury, and cadmium out of landfills and away from our water supply.

Since 2005, XMission has been a proud member of the Salt Lake City e2 Business Coalition. XMission partners with local residents and other businesses to encourage the use of alternative transportation, renewable power sources, recycling programs, water conservation, and “paperless” office solutions.
